Staff - Strengthening Families Workshop

Aaron Anderson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, writer, and speaker. He is the Director of The Marriage and Family Clinic in Westminster, Colorado where he oversees the treatment team, supervises clinicians and and helps couples have the best relationship possible. He is also Affiliate Faculty at Regis University.

Dr. Gable is the Founder and Executive Director of the Marriage and Family Institute of Colorado. She is dually licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Addiction Counselor and is a Certified Play Therapist, Clinical Fellow and Approved Clinical Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She is the Chair Elect of the Rocky Mountain Family Therapy Network and earlier served as Secretary.  Paula earned two doctoral degrees, (one in Ministry to Marriage and Family and the other, an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration). In addition to speaking 'not too bad' Spanish, she is a retired UU (Unitarian Universalist) minister, and a dedicated mindfulness and meditation practitioner. Early in her career, she earned a BS in Engineering from Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania, and worked for a decade as an engineer with PA Power & Light Company. Holly is a Colorado native and single parent, currently working in Northern Colorado. She divides her professional energies between serving as a real estate broker, and facilitating community development through  the Marriage and Family Institute of Colorado. Holly previously taught for over 15 years at the university level, (Colorado State University, the Pennsylvania State University, Regis, and the University of Colorado at Boulder), while earning degrees in speech communication, rhetoric and culture (BA, MA from CSU; and PhD (ABD) from Penn State).

Alicia strongly believes in the transformative power of client-centered therapeutic relationships, based on the understanding that each individual is the expert of their own life. She earned a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University, specializing in Children and Adolescents. Earlier, she earned a BA in Business Administration (Accounting). She serves as a volunteer board member on the Rocky Mountain Family Therapy Network and is certified in Reunification Treatment, Mental Health First Aid, and Crisis Management.

Alicia has worked in the Denver and Aurora public schools for over 10 years, assisting children grades K-12 and their families access community resources. Her clinical practice includes working with individuals, couples, and families to help them navigate the balance between individuality and interdependence in their relationships. She sees creation of healthy boundaries as key to this work.

She enjoys providing clients with additional tools and skills to identify triggers, notice warning signs, and find ways to tackle stressors and overcome challenges.
